Bobcaygeon Fall Fair, The Grand Daddy of Em All!
Since 1792 when John Simcoe thought a fall fair in Bobcaygeon was a good idea, people have been coming from near and far with the same thought. The annual parade first strutted its stuff almost a hundred years later and has been marching happily along ever since.
Now in its 159th year, the fair is running from Thursday, September 28 through Saturday, September 30th and the parade starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 30th winding its way from Market Place to the Agricultural Fair Grounds on Mansfield Street.
From demolition derby to midway to dog and horse shows and competitions and talent shows, there truly is something here for everyone. Every year loyal fans of the truck and tractor pulls pour in to cheer on their favourites. You can feast your way through the fair's edible treats as you browse the fairgrounds or watch a show. Then on Saturday night, this celebration of all things fall and agricultural closes with the fall fair dance, and that always draws a large and enthusiastic crowd. Don't forget to come help us celebrate this year -- it's our 160th Anniversary!
